Instrumental in identifying the epidemic of upper extremity Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) among autoworkers in the late 1970’s, and consequently pioneered workplace ergonomics programs in auto plants. Wrote the first lay language booklet on ergonomics, published in 1982, aimed at the auto industry and general metal working operations.
