Training Services
Dan with engineers in China
Dan customizes all
training sessions to your own operations and unique needs. He reviews with
you various options and approaches to define agendas best meet your
objectives and requirements.
Dan places great emphasis
on understanding your organizational culture and issues. “Ergonomics”
then is not presented as a “new program,” but seamlessly integrated
into on-going activities. The goal is to take advantage of the
momentum of other workplace initiatives in your company and, in turn,
contribute to those initiatives.
Training
sessions are purposefully designed to be both informal as well as
interactive, with an emphasis on group exercises and discussion of
workplace issues. All topics are presented in plain language and in Dan’s
engaging and down-to-earth manner, including normally dry subjects such as
biomechanics and anthropometry.
The training focuses on your issues in the
workplace, more like a workshop than a lecture. In
addition to covering technical facts,
Dan’s expert instruction teaches you how to identify your problems and how
to resolve them. It’s very common for problems to be resolved
during the course of a training session. On occasion, supervisors have
left the training room to fetch work order forms during the class.
Sessions can be geared
for:
- upper management
- ergonomics committee
- engineers
- supervisors
- employees
- train-the-trainer
In his 30
plus years of conducting training, Dan has planned and delivered
approximately 100 regional and national conferences for major
corporations, trade associations, and trade unions.
On-site
sessions usually involve two or three days for maximum benefit, but can be
customized to meet your specific needs.
Typical
agendas involve:
-
background assessment to
-
become familiarized with your
operations and culture
-
photograph work areas for use in
the sessions
- explore ways to
integrate ergonomics into other company initiatives
-
classroom sessions in the morning
-
hands-on problem-solving in the
afternoon
-
summary written report of issues discussed and/or resolved
